  • Co-Founder + Managing Partner

    Mr. Scully has over 40 years of commercial real estate investment and development experience. He has been directly involved in over $5BB of real estate transactions, including debt origination, entity financings, development joint ventures and REIT investment. One of his more notable investments while a partner at Apollo Real Estate Advisors was the creation of the Monument Fund, and later Monument Realty, with Mr. Neal. Monument was established as an office development platform and during Apollo’s involvement delivered over 3MM sq.ft. of new office space in multiple institutional joint ventures. Mr. Scully was later a partner at Cerberus Institutional Real Estate Advisors where he took over the management of the redevelopment of a large hotel portfolio and refinanced the assets in a $2BB transaction- one of the largest CMBS loans ever originated. That transaction allowed for a significant capital return to Cerberus and its Japanese partner, as well as sourcing $200MM for the renovation of the Sheraton Waikiki, Royal Hawaiian and Moana Surfrider. More recently Mr. Scully has been involved in ground up development in the New York City area.

    During over 40 years in the commercial real estate business,
    Mr. Neal has overseen the development of over 20 million square feet of commercial and residential property. He has worked with dozens of institutional investors on a number of complex financing solutions and has consistently generated exceptional yields for his capital partners. Mr. Neal worked with his current partner, Mr. Scully, to create Monument Realty. Together with Apollo Real Estate Advisors, Monument completed over 3MM square of office development in Washington, DC, Northern Virginia and Suburban, Maryland. Later Monument completed an additional 7MM sf of development with Prudential, Lehman Brothers, Northwest Mutual and other partners. Prior to the formation of Monument Realty, he was manager of multiple development projects with The Oliver Carr Company and participated in the formation of an UPREIT that was part of the

    IPO for Carr America. After one year as head of acquisitions for Carr America, Mr. Neal was head of development for The John Akridge Company for five years.
